Melton met his wife,
Kristy, in 1989 while he was singing on the Courthouse Square in his hometown of Jackson,
Georgia. Kristy was a cheerleader. How's that for an "all-American" love story? |
Melton and Kristy became engaged in 1993 and married in 1995 after they had both finished college. Kristy became an art and Spanish teacher at the local Middle School, and Melton finished his degree by going to night school and became an automotive technician. (Boy, do we wish we'd hired him sooner! LOL) |

The Inspirations are pleased to
announce the addition of one of the finest young singers in the country. Jackson, Georgia
native Melton Campbell has been named as the group's full-time baritone vocalist.The
30-year old Campbell had sung on occasion with the Inspirations for the past three years.
He has also sung full-time with Common Garments, a regional quartet from
Thomaston, Georgia. His appointment with the Inspirations became effective January 21. |
