| A YANKEE IN THE INSPIRATIONS |
Born in Michigan on JUNE 24,
1966, MATT was only two years old when The Inspirations began singing; but he loves the
Lord and quickly learned to love Southern Gospel Music, so it was only natural for him
that he began to sing the songs he loved.
MATT moved to Greenville, South Carolina, in 1984 to attend TABERNACLE
BAPTIST BIBLE COLLEGE. During his third year of school, he met PAULETTE, a native of
Lenoir, North Carolina, and they were married on July 12, 1985.
MATT and PAULETTE have two beautiful daughters, SABRINA AND LINDSAY,
who dote on their Dad and Mom; and the girls love to "work" behind the
Inspirations table when they are lucky enough to get to travel with their Dad.
MATT became Pastor of OPEN DOOR BAPTIST Church in Easley, South
Carolina in March, 1987 and joined The Inspirations in December, 1977. We think he has
adjusted quite well to being a true 'Southerner' in his life and in his singing. In fact,
we have now made him an "Honorary Hillbilly, and he is a most welcome addition to The Inspirations
Fraternity. |
