Our own Niccole Holcomb, daughter of Mike & Bavaria Holcomb, was married to Nathan Pierce, son of Perry and Jackie Pierce of Lucedale, Mississippi, on Monday, September 23, 2002, at Inspiration Park in Bryson City, North Carolina. The theme for the wedding was Cinderella (from Niccole's nickname), and due to a true surprise gift from her Mom & Dad, delivered just before the wedding, she entered in a white, horse-drawn carriage.

Nathan's dad, Perry Pierce is a longtime friend of the Inspirations, and among the  many enterprises his family is active in, he is a respected Gospel music promoter in the South Mississippi area.

That's the officiating Minister, Rev. Clifford Parker,
and perhaps a little background on this particular photo is in order;
Niccolle and Nathan had just staged 'the kiss' for the official photographer, Mark Haskett, and since everyone was "oooing" and "aaahhhing", Bro. Parker decided to give Nathan his first lesson in Smoky Mountain traditions
. . .
or at least our sense of 'mountain humor'! After a "smidgen" of Nathan's
red-face subsided, he laughed,
at least a "smidgen"! LOL
And then the newlyweds rode off together, and everyone else hit the refreshment table.

***Special thanks to our good friend, and one fine tenor,
Mr. Matthew Stewart, for the wedding photos.

BEATITUDES FOR MARRIED COUPLES

Blessed are the husband and wife who continue to be affectionate, considerate and loving after the wedding bells have ceased ringing.

Blessed are the husband and wife who are as polite and courteous to one another as they are to their friends.

Blessed are they who have a sense of humor, for this attitude will be a handy shock absorber.

Blessed are married couples who abstain from alcoholic beverages.   Their minds will be sharper, their attitude more caring, and their bodies more healthy.

Blessed are they who love their mates more than any other person in the world and who joyfully fulfill their marriage vow of a lifetime of fidelity and mutual helpfulness.

Blessed are they who remember to thank God for their food before they partake of it and who set aside time each day for the reading of the Holy Bible and prayer.

Blessed are they who attain parenthood, for children are a gift and heritage from the Lord.

Blessed are those mates who never speak angrily or loudly to each other and who make their home a place 'where seldom is heard a discouraging word.'

Blessed are the husband and wife who faithfully attend the worship services of the church for the advancement of Christ's kingdom.

Blessed are the husband and wife who can work out their problems of adjustment without interference of relatives.

Blessed are the couple who have a complete understanding about financial matters and who have worked out perfect partnership with all the resources under their control.
