On our recording project entitled, "Pure Vintage", we recorded a song written by Ben and Robin Durr that has a very powerful and pointed message for every person on the face of the earth who has an ear and desire to hear from the Lord. This tremendous song, "Endangered: The Christian Family", is directed at the most important and precious earthly  possession anyone can have, their own individual family.

    Of course not every person has an ear to hear what the Lord has to say. That is a problem of major catastrophic proportion in the world in which we live. The only way to know the truth is to hear what the Lord has to say to us as individuals, as well as to the masses. And, the only way for a diverse group of people to co-exist is to honor the truth and instruction of the Word of God in our individual lives.

     The devastating truth is that most folks value so many other things more highly than their family! The prevailing philosophy of the majority of folks today is to let each individual live their own life without any Biblical appreciation, knowledge, or application.

    In today's world, Moms and Dads no longer bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord! The Bible gives plain and simple instruction on the rearing of children when it says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." -- Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

    God said, "And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and upon thy gates." - Deuteronomy 6: 6-9 (KJV)

    The teaching, training, walking, and talking that the Lord tells us we are to practice in front of our children is NOT being done today! This WORD of instruction is not optional, but a COMMAND of the Lord to ALL who would be parents.

    Oh, how far we have strayed from these basic truths that lead to happiness and fulfillment of life. How the children and the parents are being cheated, deceived, and robbed of the most precious treasure in this world -- a God fearing, God honoring, God loving, Christian family and home.

    It is high time we awake from our sleep, stop condoning the philosophy of this ungodly society and world of filth and corruption, and begin obeying the commands of the Lord given in the WORD of God. The WORD is the only way of truth, joy, happiness, godliness, holiness, (without which no one shall see the Lord,) and peace.

    If there is any doubt in your mind as to what is wrong with people today, especially the children, I trust this message will help you to understand the severity of this matter, and what needs to be done to correct it.

    If you value your family, take the time to reflect upon this matter in your home, and then take the necessary steps to apply God's method and measures so that your family becomes a true Christian family. The time is short; the stakes are high; the decision is yours!
