Bryson City's motto:
Unspoiled Unhurried Uncrowded Uncommon
For scale purposes:
The small gray object in the lower left used to be the Bryson City airport hangar. |
We've included the picture to show you where the name,
HeavensEdge Communications came
from.
Here, in the mountains we see beautiful scenery like this every day,
and we believe that we really do live at the Edge of Heaven!
You are cordially invited to visit the Great Smoky
Mountains to experience
our part of God's magnificent creation for yourself. |

There will be lots of updates and Inspirations info.
Come back often and tell us what you like or don't like.
We're still learning and having a ball doing it! |

HeavensEdge began in 1995 as a fund raising effort to benefit Camp Living
Water Ministries, a small non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization located in
the Heart of the Great Smoky Mountains of Bryson City, North Carolina, the hometown of The
Inspirations.
Our first attempt at using computer technologies was to publish an
Inspirations picture history book to mark the 30th Anniversary of the group which was
distributed to guests attending the Singing in the Smokies that year (until we ran out,
that is). Several more books have been created over the years, and because of
contributions from folks who appreciated the effort, many children have been given the
chance to go to camp who could not have gone any other way.
In 1947, Dr. Herbert Brown, an on-fire mountain preacher, started
Southern Bible Testimony, the parent organization of Camp Living Water; and shortly
afterwards the camp was begun.
Dr. Brown believed that the best way he could carry out the great
commission was to reach and teach the local mountain children, regardless of their social
standing, what a new life, fully dedicated to Christ could mean. I was one of those kids!
Along with many others, we are trying to carry his vision forward. |

1998 was a time of personal healing and refreshing.
To all of you who remembered us in your prayers, THANK YOU! |
1998 was also when I was introduced to the Internet.
I hadn't really been interested before, but quickly discovered that the net provides a
novel way to communicate with the whole world, especially with Southern Gospel Music fans
such as myself. Thanks to Harold Timmons, Scott Gunnerson, Nick Deem and everyone else who has been a SGM pioneer
in this new way to get the message out about our wonderful Southern Gospel Music.
Realizing the possibilities, HeavensEdge Communications launched
www.theinspirations.com on June 15, 1998.
We continue to proudly present the Inspirations website for your enjoyment.
We sincerely hope you
enjoy visiting!
